Everything you need to keep your handcrafted AltaadiR piece beautiful for years to come.
Each AltaadiR piece is handcrafted from natural solid wood. Because wood is a living material, every piece has its own unique grain, texture, and character. Natural changes over time are completely normal and are part of the beauty of real wood.
Daily Care
- Hand wash only.
- Use lukewarm water and a soft sponge.
- Mild dish soap may be used if needed.
- Dry immediately with a soft towel.
- Never soak your wooden piece.
- Do not use a dishwasher.
- Do not use a microwave.
- Keep away from heaters, fireplaces and prolonged direct sunlight.
Refreshing the Finish
Every AltaadiR piece is protected with natural food-safe oils and beeswax.
If the wood begins to look dry or less vibrant:
- Apply a small amount of the included Care Balm.
- Warm the surface gently with a hair dryer.
- Rub the balm into the wood using a soft lint-free cloth following the wood grain.
- Wipe away any excess.
A thin layer is all you need.
Personalized and Engraved Items
Engraving may vary slightly depending on the natural grain and texture of the material. These variations are normal and make each piece unique.
Glass, Crystal, Leather, and Other Materials
If your item includes glass, crystal, leather, metal, or another material, please follow the care card included in your package.
For glass or crystal items, hand washing is recommended to protect personalization and decorative details. Avoid harsh scrubbing over engraved or personalized areas.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my wooden glass leaking?
Don't worry — this is completely normal.
Wood naturally adapts to changes in humidity and temperature during shipping and storage. Occasionally tiny pores may open, allowing a small leak.
This does not mean your glass is defective.
To restore the seal:
- Place a small amount of the included Care Balm inside the glass.
- Warm it gently using a hair dryer or small torch until the balm melts.
- Slowly rotate the glass so the melted balm coats the interior.
- Allow it to cool completely.
- Wipe away any excess.
The natural beeswax fills microscopic pores and restores the waterproof seal.
My charred whiskey glass became lighter inside.
This is normal. The charred finish naturally changes with use.
To refresh it:
- Warm the interior with a hair dryer.
- Apply a very small amount of Care Balm if desired.
- Polish gently with a soft cloth.
This restores the rich appearance while improving protection.
How often should I use the Care Balm?
It depends on how often you use your piece.
Daily use: approximately once a month.
Occasional use: every 3–4 months.
If the wood looks dry or dull, it's time for another light application.
Is my piece food safe?
Yes. Every AltaadiR wooden drinkware item is finished using food-safe natural oils and beeswax.
Can I use hot drinks?
Warm drinks are acceptable. Avoid boiling liquids and sudden temperature changes, as natural wood expands and contracts.
Can I put it in the refrigerator?
Yes. Avoid freezing temperatures and sudden changes from hot to cold.
Every piece looks different. Is that normal?
Absolutely. Every AltaadiR item is handcrafted from real wood.
Grain, color, texture, knots and engraving appearance naturally vary, making every piece one of a kind.
Will the engraving fade?
No. The engraving is carved into the wood. Over time the surrounding wood may naturally change color, making your handcrafted piece even more unique.
